This applies to all banks. The reason I named Bank of America is for their handling of a SNAFU that landed a guy in jail.

Basically the guy sells something online and recieves a check. He asks BofA if the account is good and if there are funds to cover. BofA tells him affirmative. He tries cashing check and before he knows it, he gets cuffed and stuffed (actually showcased in lobby of bank with handcuffs for 45 minutes). Turns out the check is fraudulent.
